1) Stemverter 2.1

Stemverter 2.1 now supports apple sillicon M1 and M2 chips. There will be a wave of DJs moving to the newer machines as the older Macbook products become obsolete so this update is a step ahead of the curve. Stemverter 2.1 allows you to separate stems from any track and download them onto your device. This powerful tool is great for DJs and producers.

2) Algoriddim Stem Separating Control Vinyl!?

Stem separating DJ software is all the buzz at the moment but for some reason I don’t see any news on the stem separating control vinyl! Alogoriddim now has its own control vinyl to compliment its software. Side A is a typical control vinyl, while side B is divided into three different regions. Region 1 is the original, region 2 is the instrumental version and region 3 is the vocal version. You have instant access to your stems without touching the computer!

3) Deezer Adds Hum Song Recognition

I had to try it for myself to believe it and wow, the Deezer app is surprisingly accurate! From Stevie Wonder to Masego, the app does a great job of interpreting your singing or humming. I even tried to hum way off key and it was still able to determine the song. The app can also listen to actual songs and tell you what they are similar to Shazam

Bonus: Rane Teases New Controller/Mixer?!

Serato did a great job building buzz for their latest update. Rane grabbed the baton in full stride. The photos below hint that some new hardware is coming from Rane very soon. We think it’s a battle controller to rival the Rev 7.
