We are in the middle of a pandemic that has hit the US especially hard. Unfortunately, not even a global pandemic slows down the rest of the worlds issues. Places like Ethiopia, Nigeria and Cameroon are facing various forms of civil unrest. Central America and the Philippines have been battered by some of the most powerful storms ever recorded. There’s homeless and hungry people all around the world.

Many DJ have taken to live streaming as a creative outlet and in many cases, a new means of income. Live streaming has created a virtual market for entertainment and lots of DJs and performers have taken advantage of that. In this virtual market you will find these same DJs and performers giving back.

DJ Pedro Night, cofounder of AdoboDMV; the number Afro-Latino Party in Washington, DC pre-covid, uses his live streaming platform to team up with Audelia Community Response Team and feed thousands of people in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan with marathon streams.

DJ DMan of Cleveland, Ohio raised over $3K in funds for Breast Cancer Research in a weekend long Twitch Marathon that consisted of dozens of DJs from all over the world!

Every Monday, former Rebull Threestyle finalist DJ Bo raises money for his home country of Cameroon with his Motherland Monday’s show. Cameroon has been facing civil unrest since 2017 Anglophones crisis.

Built From Scratch, a DJ academy in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region will be partnering with Action Against Hunger to host the first Annual I-95 Turkey Raid Live on Twitch. This will raise money to feed those most in need during this holiday season while taking viewers on a musical journey down the beloved I-95 Highway. MyMp3Pool is an official partner for this virtual fundraiser and will be providing some swaggy gear for the 14 DJs participating. DJ Yoshi will be kicking things off with a 2 hour New York set at 11am ET; make sure to tune in early at 10am ET for his “New Tunes Tuesday” show where the record labels seek your feedback.
