2021 kicks off a new year with two new DMC USA Champions! This year, the DMC took the longest running DJ competition, completely online for the DMC Worlds and USA competitions. DMC is no stranger to online battles, as a matter of fact, they pioneered the online championship battle in 2017 in which the winner could opt to participate in the DMC finals, in person.
This was the first year, however, that the DMC was entirely online. 2021 had dozens of DJ routines submitted for the Battle For Supremacy and the competition came correct with impressive turntablism and disses. The head to head battles were especially entertaining because of the trash talking opportunity each DJ had before/during there video submissions. DJ Ease came out on top as the USA Supremacy Champion. Ease has several national championships under his belt and kicked off 2021 by adding another one.

DJ Prolifix earned his 3rd DMC US Scratch Champion title. Defending his title from last year while taking on 15 other DJs. This was the most entertaining hour of scratching I may have ever witnessed.
Hosted by the one and only “Scratchy Seal” with guest appearances from some of the pioneers of hip hop and DJing, the DMC did a fantastic job with the presentation and keeping the event moving. It didn’t have some of the hurdles such as set up and break down time per DJ, keeping the battle more than fluid with talent that will have you glued to your screen.
